Ans: A pairs of muscles helps bone to move. When one of them contracts, the bone is pulled in that direction. The other muscle of the pair relaxes. To move the bone in the opposite direction, the relaxed muscle contracts to pull the bone towards its original position, while the first relaxes. |
20. Differentiate between Floating and Fixed rib. |
Ans: The last two pairs of ribs which are free called floating rib. Whereas rest of 10 pairs which are not free and forma cage is called fixed rib. |
